The Upstander Academy will switch to a digital model if required by CDC and local guidelines.
Please note: Attendance on all six days is required to participate in the Upstander Academy. We will meet for at least 8 hours each day, including some evening events.
Registration fees:
INDIVIDUAL RATE: Early registration = $1,900, Regular registration = $2,750, Late registration = $3,800
GROUP RATE (at least 2 people from same school/district/org): Early registration = $1,500 per participant, Regular = $2,200 per participant, Late registration = $3,000 per participant
Registration fee includes most meals and an optional homestay* for the duration of the academy. (*Please note that local homestays can only be made available to participants who are vaccinated against Covid-19)
Scholarships are available based on need and potential for impact. In the application you will find an option to request a scholarship. Even if you or your school/organization cannot pay the registration rate, we still encourage you to apply.
These rates do not reflect the true cost of running the Upstander Academy. In the application you will be asked if your organization is able to opt in to pay the full cost.
Application deadlines:
Early Registration: Apply January 15-March 1, 2022
Regular Registration: Apply March 2- March 31, 2022
Late Registration: Apply April 1-June 1, 2022
Spots are limited so if you are thinking of applying, we recommend you do so by the early registration deadline, March 1. In the past, we have closed applications due to high demand, so please don't delay in applying.
How to apply:
After you submit your application, please submit a $25 application fee. If you are not selected for the academy, your application fee will be refunded if you request a refund by June 15, 2022.
If you are accepted, you will be asked to submit a $100 deposit to hold your spot.
