Stock and Securities
Upstander Project can now accept stock donations! Donating stock is a simple and popular avenue for charitable giving because of the mutual benefits provided to nonprofit organizations and donors. When selling stocks, individuals usually have to pay 37% tax on the appreciated value of their shares. However, if you make a gift of appreciated securities—publicly traded stocks, bonds and mutual fund shares—directly to Upstander Project there are no taxes to pay! This means you can donate the full value of your stock and receive a greater income tax reduction for yourself. Your gift will directly fund our films, educational workshops, and impact work.
